Moving Forward One Step After Another
As the title says, forward momentum is happening. I would like this to be happening at a faster pace, but the pace is what it needs to be at this moment in the process. Discoastal is coalescing into something. Right now, music is the primary driver. Terry and I both have an array of music that we would like to work on, and to diversify the genres, we are going to use different band names for each type. This is a pretty common practice within the electronic music scene, so our first project is called Particle Bunni. We are in the middle of working on an electronic EP—currently untitled.
Prioritize, Prioritize, and Prioritize
When it comes to Discoastal, I have so many ideas and paths that I want to go down. One of them is creating visuals that work in conjunction with the music. As I began to think about how I want to create these, TouchDesigner popped on my radar. It’s an amazing tool, and deep as hell. I have been slowly learning it, but this week I realized that with all that we need to do to get Discoastal launched, learning this immense piece of software was just not in the cards. I have to prioritize what is in front of me. Right now, that is the music. What visuals we pursue at this stage need to be simple and easy to produce.
That’s all for now! Thanks for reading!
